Biography
Jamie Blot has been the Village Clerk/Assessor since July 2016. Prior to her appointment to the position of Clerk/Assessor, Jamie also held the following positions within the Village of Colonie: Deputy Clerk, Deputy Treasurer, Youth and Recreation Assistant. Jamie has been an employee of the Village of Colonie since June 2003. Other than her roles of Clerk and Assessor, Jamie is the Registrar of Vital Records, Water/Sewer Billing Clerk, Tax Billing Clerk, Chief election officer for Village elections and is a Notary Public. Jamie is responsible for the issuance of FOIL requests, Peddler’s Permits and Water on/off requests. Jamie is also the Payroll administrator and human resources person. Jamie also served as a board member of the South Colonie School Board of Education from 2018-2019. She is a lifetime resident of Colonie, where she lives with her husband and three sons.

Christina Secor was appointed as Village of Colonie Treasurer in 2021. She is also the Deputy Assessor for the Village. Prior to her position as Village Treasurer, Christina was the Deputy Treasurer and Village Administrative Assistant. Christina has been a Village employee since October 2018. She is a resident of the Village of Colonie and a lifelong resident of Colonie. Christina is a Colonie Central High school graduate. Married with a daughter, she has been in the hospitality and service industry for 15 years. She is also a New York State Licensed Real Estate agent. Working in the service industry has engrained a hard work ethic and attention to detail.

Hannah Curran was appointed as the Village of Colonie Deputy Clerk in 2023. Prior to her position as Deputy Clerk she was an Administrative Assistant for the Village. Hannah has been a Village employee since 2022. She is a long-time resident of the Village of Colonie and a lifelong resident of Colonie. Hannah is a graduate of Colonie Central High School and the College of Saint Rose. She is the coordinator to the Village of Colonie Traffic Advisory Committee and a notary public.

Stacie Douglas was appointed as the Village of Colonie Deputy Treasurer in 2023. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Treasurer, Stacie was an Administrative Assistant for the Village since 2021. She handles accounts payable and is the coordinator for the Zoning Board of Appeals. Stacie is a graduate of Cohoes High School. She previously worked for 10 years at GDIT and 7 years at YNN News doing purchasing. Stacie has lived in the Village since 2019 with her family. She loves spending her summers on Chazy Lake and in the Adirondacks. Stacie is also a notary public.

Victor A. Caponera Jr. is the attorney for special boards and commissions for the Village of Colonie. Attorney Caponera has served as a part-time attorney for the Village of Colonie since April of 2001. Attorney Caponera is responsible for providing counsel to the following boards: Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and Sign Review Board. Attorney Caponera also assists the Mayor and Board of Trustees with any legal assistance needed. Attorney Caponera graduated from Regis University in 1972, Summa Cum Laude and graduating from Western New England College, School of Law in 1977. BAR admissions: He was admitted in New York before Appellate Division of the Supreme Court for the Third Judicial Department in July of 1977.

Steve Meservey is the head of the Building Department, and has been a Building and Fire Inspector with the Village of Colonie since June 2019. He is certified by the state of New York as a Building Safety Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer. Steve is a New York State Professional Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician with the City of Albany since 1998. He has lived in the Village since 2010 and is actively involved with Colonie Village Boy Scouts Troop 278 as an Assistant Scoutmaster.

Randy Rivera has been a building and fire inspector for the Village of Colonie since June 1, 1995. Randy is also the Storm Water Management Officer for the Village of Colonie. He is Code Certified by the NYS Department of State. He is a member of the NYS Building Officials Capital District Chapter. Randy is a longtime resident of the Village of Colonie. Randy has been a volunteer fire fighter since 1976, and a volunteer with the Village of Colonie Fire Company since 1988.

Chris Bisognano has been the Superintendent of Public Works since September of 2023. Chris oversees all Department of Public Works operations and staff, which consists of around 30 employees. Prior to his appointment to Superintendent, Chris also held the following positions: laborer, equipment operator I, equipment operator II, Sewer/Water Foreman and Assistant Superintendent for 9 years. Chris is a life-long resident of the Village of Colonie and a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. Chris also has an associate’s degree in business administration from Hudson Valley Community College. Chris has been a Village employee since October of 1998.

Chris Ciota has been the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works since September of 2023. Chris assists the Superintendent with overseeing the Public Works Department. Prior to his appointment as Assistant Superintendent, Chris also held the following positions: laborer, equipment operator I, equipment operator II, MS4 Officer, Recycling Coordinator, & Highway/Sanitation Foreman. Chris is a life-long resident of the Village of Colonie and a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. He has a bachelor’s degree from Franklin Pierce University and has been an employee with the Village since 2004. Chris takes great pride in contributing to the Village community and raising his family here.

Vincent Krzykowski is the Highway/Sanitation Foreman and has been an employee with the Village since April 2021. Vincent oversees the Highway/Sanitation crew with their daily tasks as well as the parks grounds and crews. Prior to his appointment as Highway/Sanitation Foreman, Vincent also held the following positions: laborer, equipment operator I, equipment operator II & Park Foreman. Vincent grew up in the Village of Colonie and graduated from Colonie Central High School. He takes great pride in his community and continuing to keep the Village a great place to live.

Chrissy Lanza

Biography
Chrissy Lanza has been the Senior Center Director since August of 2014. Prior to her position as Director, Chrissy was a recreation assistant and food service helper in the senior kitchen. Chrissy has been a Village employee since November of 2009. Chrissy oversees the entire HBK Senior Center and its participants. Chrissy is in charge of organizing programs and classes, as well as many other administrative tasks.

Holly Martini has been with the Village of Colonie since May of 2014. She directs the senior kitchen staff on all food services for the Senior Center. Holly is also one of the main cooks for the Senior Center. Holly also helps the Director with many administrative tasks.

Joan Rueckert has worked for the Village of Colonie since June 2011 as an Outreach Worker. Joan is a graduate of Russell Sage College with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Psychology. She previously taught special education for Albany BOCES. Joan also worked for Families Together as a Parent Partner assisting families that have children with a mental health diagnosis. Joan continues to assist individuals and families by providing information and referrals to community services, resources and government agencies. She also works with the local school district assisting families with questions regarding their child’s education. Joan is the mother of two grown children and has extensive experience caring for elderly family members.

Brian Casey has been a Youth Monitor at the Family Recreation Center since 2004. He manages the activities of the Family Center and is committed to helping create a safe non-threatening environment for kids and families to come and enjoy. He is a veteran of the US Navy and a retired Colonie Police Officer of 31 years. He was an original Resource Officer at Colonie High School and D.A.R.E. Officer. He has been a Scout leader for over 25 years. He has served on the Colonie Youth Center Board and currently serves on the Board of Education for the South Colonie Central School District. Other than his role as Youth Monitor, he handles all the bookings for the rentals of Village facilities, coordinates with the Colonie High School Alternate Education Program, and reviews bands for the “Tuesday Nights in the Park” Summer Program and is a member of the Amphitheater committee.

Katie Ciota has been a Youth Monitor at the Family Recreation Center since 2015. She helps manage the Family Center and works to create a welcoming environment for all children and families. Katie has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education and Fine Arts. Other than her roll as Youth Monitor, Katie coordinates the Summer Recreation Program for Village children, helps to edit the quarterly “Villager” newsletter, creates promotional material for Village events, helps coordinate the Village children’s parties, and is a member of the Amphitheater committee.
